Smartmotion Pacer GT Electric Bicycle

The Smartmotion Pacer GT variant has identical frame features to the original Pacer electric bike, including the same distinctive square tubing and top tube integrated colour display.

The main distinction is that the motor is now a belt-driven Bafang mid-drive motor rather than a rear hub motor. It has large 27.5 inch wheels with 2-inch tyres, which combine a larger contact patch with less rolling resistance to excellent effect.

The Smartmotion GT City Electric Bike is equipped with all the performance of its predecessor with a smoother and more stable approach.

This electric bike features a 250W electric motor, capable of powering the Smartmotion Pacer to a speed of up to 25km/h. In addition to the mid-drive motor and Gates belt drive, the Pacer now uses an internal shifting rear hub.

The bike’s brain is Bafang’s MaxDrive mid drive. It has five degrees of assistance and consumes just 350 watts. Instead of having names as in other systems, those levels are displayed on the screen as pieces of a circle, with five being the highest. Level 3 is more than sufficient for anything but the toughest slopes, and we love plenty of assistance.

You can travel anyplace you want to go quickly and easily using Level 5. The 672 watt-hour battery was more than enough for every ride we gave it; we were never entirely able to ride it for long enough in a day to completely drain it. Capable of bringing you where you need to go with its quick speed, you can expect to reach your destination sooner than expected.

The 27.5-inch tyres on this everyday commuter make it easy for you to cover more ground when you ride to save time.

A single charge of the 36V 14.5Ah battery can last up to 40km, which is more than enough for daily commuting or leisurely activities.

1-year warranty on all electronic parts (including battery, motor, controller, display, lights)

2-year warranty on the bike frame

Apart from manufacture defects that could be present, parts that wear due to normal use (such as tires, brake pads, chains, spokes, freewheel, tire puncture etc) are not included in the warranty but maybe replaced on a case by case basis within the first 6 months.

Our bikes are water resistant but not waterproof. Water damage is not covered under warranty.
