Buying a bike.
How long does AU-wide delivery take? +
2–3 business days Brisbane/Gold Coast, 3–5 days Sydney/Melbourne/Adelaide, 5–7 days Perth/Darwin/Tasmania. Every bike is tuned by a Brisbane mechanic before we box it for safe transit. See the next answer for what arrives in the carton and how long re-assembly takes.
What does shipping cost? +
$129 to NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT and SA. Tasmania $249. Northern Territory and Western Australia $349. Brisbane locals can pick up free from our Fortitude Valley workshop at any cart total.
Do you assemble and tune the bike before it ships? +
Yes. Every bike leaves our workshop 90% assembled and fully tuned: brakes bedded in, gears indexed, torque-checked. You just install the front wheel, rotate the handlebars and pop the pedals on. 10 minutes with the provided tools.
Can I test-ride before I buy? +
Yes, in-store at Fortitude Valley, or via our 30-day at-home test-ride (AU-wide, online orders only). Full refund minus freight if you return within 30 days. See test-ride.
What's the warranty? +
2 years on the frame, 1 year on motor and battery for all retail bikes. Selected premium brands (e.g. Fatboy) extend motor and battery cover to 2+ years, check the bike's PDP for brand-specific terms. Rentals include servicing as part of the weekly plan (no paperwork). For Brisbane delivery riders.
Are rentals available outside Brisbane? +
No. Rentals are Brisbane metro only, because we service the bikes in our Fortitude Valley workshop and need to get a swap bike to you fast when yours goes down. If you're in Sydney, Melbourne or the Gold Coast you can still buy any bike outright, with AU-wide shipping from $129.
Do I need an ABN or a visa to rent? +
No ABN required. We ask for photo ID and a rider-account screenshot (Uber Eats or DoorDash), and if you're on a visa we ask to see it. No credit check.
What happens if the bike breaks during a shift? +
Message the shop. Mechanical issue and you're on shift? We'll arrange a swap bike within 24 hours — usually same-day between 8am and 4pm. You keep earning.
Can I end up owning the bike? +
The online program is weekly rental, so the bike stays ours and you can cancel any time after the 2-week minimum. If you want a path to owning a bike, rent-to-own is available in-store, just ask the team at our Fortitude Valley workshop.

Do you service bikes I didn't buy from MyEbike? +
Yes, for most common e-bike motor systems (Bafang, Bosch, Shimano EP8, Ananda, Yamaha). See service pricing.
Where is the shop? +
Shop 5/421 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006. 5 minutes' walk from Fortitude Valley station. Street parking plus Chinatown Mall parkade is 2 minutes up the road. See the shop page for hours.
Can you help with an old bike I already own? +
Repairs: yes. Upgrades: usually. Full motor retrofits on non-e-bikes: not worth the money, you'd be better off buying a purpose-built e-bike. We'll tell you up front.
