we stand behind it.

Every bike ships with a 2-year frame warranty and 1-year cover on motor and battery. Selected premium brands extend motor and battery cover to 2+ years — check the PDP for brand-specific terms. For delivery-rider rentals, warranty is baked into the weekly plan: swap bikes within 24 hours, no paperwork.

What's covered, what isn't.

Straight answers — no asterisks. If it's a genuine fault under normal riding, we cover it. If you crashed it, rode it off a pier, or flashed the firmware yourself, we don't. Wear items aren't covered under warranty — tyres, brake pads, chains, cables, grips and similar consumables. Book a service when they need replacing.

2 years

Frame

Covers manufacturing defects, cracked welds and bonding failures under normal use.

Not covered: crash damage, rust from salt water, neglect, unapproved modifications.

1 year

Motor

Covers hub and mid-drive motor failures, bearing faults, controller issues and wiring harness faults. Selected premium brands (e.g. Fatboy) extend motor cover to 2+ years — check the bike's PDP for brand-specific terms.

Not covered: water damage above IPX6, impact damage, tampering with firmware.

1 year

Battery

Covers batteries that drop below 70% rated capacity or fail to charge during the warranty period. Selected premium brands extend battery cover to 2+ years — check the bike's PDP for brand-specific terms.

Not covered: damage from non-approved chargers, impact, immersion, storage below 0% for extended periods.

Email brisbane@myebike.com.au with your order number, a short description of the fault and a photo or short video. We reply within one business day. If approved: Brisbane customers book an inspection slot, interstate customers get parts shipped out. Delivery-rider rentals go through the rider channel — swap bikes within 24 hours.

Warranty FAQ.

How long does a warranty claim take? +

Most inspections happen within 3 business days. Simple issues (loose bearing, controller swap, battery re-pair) are fixed in under a day. Frame replacements take 2–4 weeks depending on model availability.

Do I need the original receipt? +

If you bought from us, no — we have your order on file by name or email. If the bike was a gift or second-hand, you'll need the original invoice to transfer the warranty.

Can I service the bike myself and keep warranty? +

Yes, routine maintenance (cleaning, tyre changes, brake pad swaps) does not void warranty. Opening the motor, re-flashing firmware or swapping in non-OEM batteries does.

Do you honour warranty on ex-rental bikes sold by MyEbike? +

Yes, with a flat 12-month warranty covering frame, motor and battery from date of sale (not date of original purchase). This is a single combined period for ex-rentals — the standard 2-year frame / 1-year motor & battery split applies to new bikes only. Ex-rentals are inspected and re-conditioned before resale.

What if my bike was bought interstate and needs warranty work? +

We ship replacement parts anywhere in AU. If the fix needs a workshop, we'll either help you find a local mechanic we trust, or cover freight for you to return the bike to Fortitude Valley.
